The title defense of our Provincial Female "AA" Midget Hockey Championship was successful, as the team repeated as Provincial Champs with a convincing 6-0 win in the finals over the City of Winnipeg league champs, Winnipeg Titans, in the final. We then continued our success with a repeat as champs of the Manitoba Female Midget Hockey League with a sweep of the Eastman Selects in the final round to achieve that honour for the third year in a row.

The Hawks' season begins with a trip down south to Grand Rapids, MN, with a two game set with the Minnesota Crunch and then a quick trip to Hartney MB on Oct 8-10 for the Westman Wildcats tournament.  We start our league play Oct.15 against the former Esso Cup Champions, Westman Wildcats. We are excited to be invited down to the Universities of Wisconsin-River Falls & Eau Claire on Oct. 30/31 to meet the challenge of competing against some very talented NCAA - NCHA college hockey teams. Our tournament play so far includes the MN Crunch Showcase Nov. 5-7 in Thief River, MN and we will once again take in the Minnesota Thoroughbreds Thanksgiving tourney Nov.26-28th at St. Paul, MN. Competing in the Manitoba Female Midget Hockey League once again to defend our titles from the last two years will then take up most of the winter, with another tournament or two still in the works.  Another very big event and challenge for the team will occur when we travel down to Faribault, Mn. on March 25-27 for a four game series vs the U.S. National Champion Shattuck-St.Mary's U19 Prep and U16 teams.
