The Hawks are pleased to announce that forward Makenzie McCallum has been selected as the CCM-Selkirk Source for Sports Player of the Week ending March 4. McCallum, a grade 11 student from Morden playing in her 3rd year in the league, has been a big contributor to the Hawks success this playoff season. McCallum has utilized her speed, size and strength up front to become a dominant power forward during the playoffs. This past week McCallum had 2 assists in the Hawks game one 3-2 win then followed that with 2 goals in their game two 3-0 win before registering a shorthanded goal in the Hawks 3-2 loss in game three of their semi-final series vs Westman. McCallum finished second in points during the MFMHL regular season and is now sitting first in points in the playoffs with a total of 5 goals and 8 assists.
