The Hawks are pleased to announce that Player of he Week honors for the Manitoba Female Midget Hockey League is Maiya Aschberg who is in her first year with the Hawks.

Aschberg played her first year in the league with the Central Plains Capitals, and is a grade 11 student from Morden.

She earned herself points in 2 of the 3 games. Maiya had 1 goal in the Hawks 4-1 win over Interlake Friday. While she did not get any points on Saturday, her strength and aggressive fore check helped create many opportunities for the Hawks in their 1-0 win over Westman. Finally on Sunday, Maiya had 2 goals and 1 assist in the Hawks 7-1 win over Yellowhead.
